While traveling, knowledge is gained about the lands, their peoples, their dangers, their wants, … and their brews.

All alcoholic beverages cost 5cp per serving unless otherwise noted.
Liquor is measured in shots, wine is measured in half-mugs, mead/ale is measured in mugs​.

A bottle of liquor can hold 30 servings [​15sp]
A pitcher of wine can hold 4 servings [2sp]
​​  — a bottle of wine is typically of higher quality and conveys status, 4 servings [10gp]
A cask can hold 4 servings of mead/ale [2sp]

A barrel can hold:
 ​​  – ​675 servings of mead/ale [30gp]
 ​​  – ​1,350 servings of wine [65gp]
 ​​  – ​6,​750 servings of liquor [​335gp]

Impacts of Alcohol: +1 CHA, -1 DEX for 1hr/serving

Most brews are just good drink while others have specific side effects

The Brews of Dorne

  • ​Blackmont Dark
    • ​CON DC 5 or become belligerent ​for 15 minutes
  • Starfall WPA (Westeros Pale Ale)

The Brews of The Reach

  • Phoenix Hard Cider
    • ​​CON DC 10 or become beligerent for 15 minutes
  • ​​Buddy’s Bright
    • ​CON DC 5 or spit it out immediately
    • Bright yellow in color with a h​orrible aftertaste — the blandness when it hits your tongue is its only saving grace
    • Cannot drink enough to become intoxicated
    • So bad that patrons have a saying, “Won’t get you drunk, always lets you down”
    • Among friends, it has become a rite of passage​, but rarely drunk for any other purpose than a shared short miserable moment before drinking something better
    • When ordered for anyone without ordering one for yourself, it is considered a strong insult​
  • ​​Fireplum Schnapps​​​
    • CON DC10 or critical fail all DEX checks for 15 minutes
  • Rum of the Ancients (aka Rum of Heroes) [5gp per serving, 15pp per bottle, 3,375pp per barrel]
    • Secret recipe of blended dark and light rums, handed down from generation to generation since the Age of Heroes, aged in Oak underground in the North for 25 years at minimum
    • Although it is aged in the North, this is still considered to be from The Reach due to its availability; “True Northerners” do not take kindly to the frivilous nature of such an expensive beverage that will “just turn to piss anyhow.”
    • Most will never have the opportunity​ to even taste this extremely sophisticated treat
    • Complex aromas and taste:
      • The aroma is that of complex oakiness and earthiness with a flare of cherries and chocolate
      • Silky texture that envelops the mouth without being syrupy
      • A mix of spiciness and sweetness that awakens the entire tongue
      • The finish leaves a breathiness of hard liquor that fades quickly into a very pleasant, almost fruity aftertaste​​
